"I decided to book a class
with Ben based on the awesome reviews on
google! We had the most amazing time. Ben
was accommodating when it came to menu
selection as I am a very picky eater. My
boyfriend and I did the class in Ben's
kitchen which I highly recommend because
you get to see the equipment he uses and
the tools he has on hand as well as how he
sets his space up. He does some of the
prep work ahead of time so the time spent
in the class is really focused on cooking
techniques and timing. My favorite part
was learning how to time a five course
meal so that everything is ready at the
same time (something we struggle with lol,
something is always cold!). He is
incredibly knowledgeable and even though
my boyfriend cooks often, we both learned
new things throughout the night. Once we
were finished cooking, Ben plates each
course and serves it to you so you really
get to enjoy a "sit down dinner" as well.
I can't recommend this experience enough
we had a blast and Ben is super personable
and makes the experience fun!"

This is to tell you that how
much Anne and I enjoyed the day we spent
in your kitchen. We’d read your
credential, so we were not surprised by
your skills as a chef. What we hadn’t
expected was your cordiality as a host,
students-do-it teaching, and ability to
make us feel like master chefs ourselves.
Answering
your introductory questionnaire, we asked
you to teach us to make a
meal that would satisfy both an omnivore
and a vegetarian. From your
menu, we chose the following: hearts of
palm salad, green bean
almandine, asparagus soup, grilled
vegetable, crab cake, and baked pear.
Your
instruction included not only the
planning, preparation and timing of
each of the six dishes, but also the
importance of presentation. You
wisely took pictures of us cooking and of
the beautiful meal before we
began to devour “our” creation. I happily
forwarded those pix of the
dinner and of her father in a chef’s apron
to my daughter- who had
graciously given us Chef Ben as present.
You
didn’t greet us wearing a gift ribbon,
though you were a quite a good
one. As a vegetarian, I never foresaw
myself as an expert at making
your fabulous crab cake, though now I’m a
quite good one.
